04 Donations & contributions

How donations work

All donations to JayamHari Foundation are voluntary and are used to fund our programmes in children's education, health mentoring and women empowerment. Donations may be made via bank transfer, UPI, or any payment gateway we integrate.

Tax exemption (80G)

Donations to JayamHari Foundation are eligible for deduction under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961, subject to the terms and validity of our 80G certification. A receipt will be issued to your registered email within a reasonable period after your donation is received and reconciled.

Refund & cancellation policy

Donations, once made and successfully processed, are generally non-refundable, as funds may already be committed to ongoing programmes. However, in the following limited circumstances we will make reasonable efforts to process a refund:

• A clear duplicate transaction made in error.
• A technical or processing error resulting in a charge without donation intent.
• An amount significantly in excess of what the donor intended, supported by evidence.

Refund requests must be raised within 14 days of the transaction by writing to info@jayamharifoundation.org with the transaction reference and relevant details. Refunds, when approved, will be processed via the original payment method. Any tax receipt already issued for the refunded amount will be cancelled.

Use of funds

Donated funds may be applied to any of our charitable programmes, administrative costs reasonably incurred to run those programmes, audit and compliance, and communications with donors and the public — unless restricted in writing to a specific programme by the donor.

Anti-money laundering

JayamHari Foundation reserves the right to decline any donation that we reasonably believe to be linked to illegal activity, money laundering, or contrary to public interest. Large donations may be subject to additional due diligence in line with Indian law and FCRA norms (where applicable).

05 Volunteering & engagement

Volunteers, interns and field ambassadors contribute time, skills or effort on a voluntary basis, in exchange for experience, training, a volunteer certificate and — in limited roles — a modest honorarium as clearly stated upfront.

Volunteer engagement is not an employment relationship. No salary, employee benefits or statutory entitlements shall apply unless a separate written agreement says so.

Every volunteer agrees to:

• Follow our Child Protection Policy and our Code of Conduct (shared during onboarding).
• Maintain the confidentiality of beneficiary information.
• Not use their association with JayamHari Foundation for personal profit or unauthorised fundraising.
• Allow us to use photographs and documentation from their volunteering, with appropriate attribution where applicable.

06 Intellectual property

All content on this Website — including the name JayamHari Foundation, our logo, text, photographs, videos, graphics, design and programme materials — is the property of JayamHari Foundation or its licensors and is protected under Indian and international copyright and trademark laws.

You may share a link to any public page, or quote a short excerpt with appropriate attribution, for personal, educational or journalistic purposes. Any other use — including reproduction, modification, commercial use, or use in materials that imply endorsement — requires our prior written permission.

07 Content you share with us

If you submit photos, testimonials, written content, feedback, or volunteer stories to us (whether through the Website, email, messaging or in person), you confirm that:

• You own the content, or have the necessary rights and permissions to share it.
